We make an effort here at Shane Weight Loss Camps to constantly watch and monitor the trends especially as it pertains to childhood obesity and thought the following article was an interesting read. Here is a short preview commenting on childhood obesity rates and as usual, we would love to know your thoughts.

“Obesity rates in states around the country are beginning to slow. One in 10 children become obese from ages 2 to 5, and about 5 percent of 6- to 11-year-olds are “severely” obese. Blacks and Hispanics have the highest rates of obesity nationwide, and whites the lowest. The study also showed an economic divide, with people in the lowest income brackets having disproportionately higher rate.”
